Senior UI/UX Designer - Conversion and Usability Specialist


Location: Remote


Contract Type: Freelance or Part-Time


Job Description

We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer with proven experience in designing web interfaces focused on conversion-ideally within the travel or ecommerce sectors. Your mission will be to design intuitive, clear, and engaging experiences that guide users seamlessly from landing page to checkout.

You'll work closely with the development, marketing, and QA teams to ensure all our websites meet usability standards, are responsive by design, and drive commercial performance.


Responsibilities

  • Design clean, functional, and modern interfaces for both desktop and mobile.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and optimized user flows.
  • Design with a focus on the purchase journey, eliminating friction and drop-off points.
  • Ensure visual consistency and brand identity across all digital touchpoints.
  • Conduct benchmarking with similar platforms (Headout, GetYourGuide, Viator, Tiqets, etc.) and suggest impactful improvements.
  • Collaborate with QA, frontend, and performance teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
  • Run usability tests and apply iterative improvements based on data (Hotjar, Analytics, user feedback).
  • Participate in the design of A/B tests aimed at improving conversion rates.


Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design (web & mobile).
  • A strong portfolio of conversion-focused or ecommerce projects.
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Experience designing for various devices and browsers (responsive-first).
  • Strong visual judgment and ability to design attractive, functional interfaces.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary environments.
  • Basic understanding of technical constraints (HTML/CSS) and how design decisions impact development.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience in ticketing, booking, marketplaces, or online travel platforms.
  • Experience in inclusive and accessible design.
  • Sensitivity to diverse user profiles (languages, ages, traveler types).
