Senior Manual Software Tester - 100% Remote - B2B / Autónomo - 3 month initial contract - £200 per day

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Tester, with strong manual testing skills, to join our client's dynamic and innovative software development team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software products through comprehensive testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of leading testing efforts across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and requirements.

Design, create, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.

Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to identify software defects and ensure overall system reliability.

Lead and drive automation testing efforts to improve efficiency and coverage.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Identify, document, and track software defects through their lifecycle.

Generate and communicate detailed defect reports to development teams, ensuring timely resolution.

Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.

Effectively communicate testing progress, results, and any potential risks to project timelines.

Lead and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the overall testing capabilities of the team.

Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing trends.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the organization.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Software Tester with a focus on manual testing.

Strong expertise in test planning, test case design, and execution.

Proficiency / knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

Experience in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
