We are seeking a Senior Specialist Credit & Collections - French Speaker to manage credit and collections activities within the retail industry. This role is based in Maia and requires strong language proficiency in French, along with experience in accounting and finance.

Description

• Ensure timely collection of open receivables by working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, resolving causes of non-payment.
• Accurately and promptly allocate incoming payments and follow up on discrepancies.
• Manage customer relationships, including issue resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Regularly assess customer credit risk and propose actions according to credit policy.
• Review, analyze and recommend release of credit-blocked deliveries.
• Provide insights on customer accounts receivable status to Credit & Collections leadership and Sales/Finance teams.
• Track and follow up on disputes until resolution.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support their implementation.
• Ensure strong financial controls and maintain updated process documentation.

Profile

• At least 5 years relevant work experience in the credit and collections finance area.
• Fluency in French, both written and verbal, along with good English skills (B2).
• Experience in credit and collections within the accounting and finance sector.
• Solid experience with SAP and Excel.
• Experience in a SSC environment or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach to managing customer relationships.
