Senior Security Architect & Engineer Remote

We're looking for a Senior Security Architect & Engineer who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking and hands-on technical execution.

What You'll Be Doing

Security Architecture

• Design secure, scalable architectures across IT, OT, and cloud environments.
• Ensure seamless integration of security solutions with internal and client-facing systems.
• Recommend and evaluate cutting-edge security frameworks and technologies.
• Implement robust identity and access controls: RBAC, MFA, SSO, and least privilege.

? Security Engineering

• Apply hardening standards and secure baselines to systems and cloud services.
• Automate processes to optimize efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Conduct and support vulnerability assessments and patch implementations.
• Champion DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Security Operations

• Work alongside SOC and IT teams on threat detection and incident response.
• Engage in root cause analysis and help drive post-incident improvements.
• Maintain and improve IR and disaster recovery plans.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Identify and mitigate IT security risks proactively.
• Ensure compliance with NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and IEC 62443.
• Contribute to policy development, third-party security reviews, and audits.

Collaboration & Communication

• Act as a trusted advisor for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Influence strategic decision-making through expert-level guidance.
• Represent security in architecture boards and steering committees.

What We're Looking For

• 8-12 years of cybersecurity experience across architecture and engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing secure cloud and IT infrastructures.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure, AWS, or OCI.
• Familiar with tools like SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and cloud-native security.
• In-depth understanding of IAM, SSO, MFA, PAM, and access reviews.
• Experience with GRC tools and risk assessment frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly valued.
• Experience with NIS2 is a strong advantage.
