Ferring is opening an IT Center of Excellence (CoE) in Lisbon, Portugal, which is integrally part of Ferring’s Global IT Function. and we are looking to attract qualified and motivated candidates. To enable Ferring to govern and design our infrastructure hosting and network, we are now recruiting a professional team that will support on our journey.



Your new role

• The primary responsibility of architects is to plan, design and assist with the implementation of digital workplace & collaboration services and establish a strong governance

• Maintain a strategy (Scaling, arrangement, use case) with end users’ community to understand their needs and to update our strategies designed to meet those needs

• Responsible for digital workplace & collaboration adherence to Best Practices

• Translating project-specific needs into solutions that will suit those needs and considering the project needs in terms of resource usage and scalability

• Identify dependencies and common infrastructure components, and to assess aggregation methods, ensure relevant artefacts, e.g. run-books, processes, diagrams

• Configuration management are created and maintain ownership of related artefacts

• Manage solution lifecycle with our partner

• Validate solutions meet design requirements

• Audit & validate tools and techniques used by the outsourcer to maintain our Client and collaborations solutions

• Work closely with project managers, IT business partners, and vertical teams to avoid redundancy, minimize expenditures and improve overall synergy within the organization

• Create solutions that support a DevOps approach for delivery and operations of services

• Ensure that all solutions follow security and compliance controls, including data sovereignty

• Act as Single point of contact between IT applications, business and suppliers for architecture and design purpose

• Be on control of asset needed to operate our client and manage outsourcer cost

• Promote productivity & collaborative solution around internal it and external communities

• Monitor emerging trends and evaluates their potential impact on the broader.






What you'll need to succeed

• We are looking for a talented individual who has 5+ years' experience designing, executing, and supporting digital workplace and collaboration solutions

• Visionary on how digital workplace & collaboration should evolve

• Deep knowledge on Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco Technology

• In-depth skills relating to virtualization, software-defined network, communications, physical and virtual storage, and cloud solution

• Deep knowledge on Azure O365 digital workplace solutions

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

• Knowledge of networking engineering, including DNS, firewalls, etc.

• Knowledge of best practices for IT operations

• Strong experience working with- and managing Outsourcing providers

• Experience working within regulated industries

• Experience problem solving issues on distributed systems and critical product service environments

• Knowledge with Agile Scrum methodology, nice to have Safe Framework

• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with senior managers and technical teams

• Excellent influencing and reasoning skills

• Good at conflict resolution and consensus building

• Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal and communication skills
