Description
Establish, implement, and manage robust internal controls and procedures to guarantee accuracy and efficiency across all financial and accounting operations;
Track and evaluate the financial performance of the Portuguese entities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership;
Oversee and maintain the annual budgeting process for local entities, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals;
Prepare and deliver monthly reports on liquidity and cash flow for all Portuguese operations;
Review accounting, tax, and administrative records each month to confirm compliance with both local regulations and corporate standards;
Collaborate in supervising the team's output, ensuring timely and precise completion of all required financial reports;
Act as co-lead in managing external audits for the Portuguese entities;
Supervise and validate the preparation of financial and regulatory submissions required by national authorities (such as CMVM and Banco de Portugal).
Profile
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration;
At least seven years of professional experience in comparable positions;
Solid understanding of financial reporting and consolidation practices;
Strong analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team;
Full command of English;
Role based in Lisbon, Portugal.
