To support our financial operations and contribute to our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Accountant, with strong Controlling skills, to join our team in Lisbon and support the CFO in the financial management.

Description

• Ensure full compliance with local accounting, tax, and legal obligations;
• Execute day-to-day accounting activities, general ledger entries;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings according to Portuguese GAAP (SNC) and Group-level requirements (IFRS);
• Prepare monthly financial reports for local management and group headquarters (HQ);
• Lead and improve internal control and financial reporting processes;
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting;
• Support management in strategic decision-making through financial analysis and KPIs;
• Collaborate closely with the group's finance team (English-speaking environment);
• Liaise with statutory auditors, external consultants, and regulatory entities.

Profile

• Certified Accountant in Portugal (OCC membership required);
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar roles, ideally in an international or group context;
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese GAAP, tax obligations, and solid understanding of IFRS;
• Hands-on experience with ERP System NetSuite is highly valued;
• Strong track record in Controlling: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis;
• Fluent in English (high communication with group HQ);
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (experience with Power BI is a plus);
• Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking, and attention to detail;
• High sense of responsibility, autonomy, and initiative - proactive in improving processes.
