We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join one of our projects in Lisbon.

Location: Hybrid - Lisbon, Portugal

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases
• Configure and manage replication, failover, and clustering strategies
• Perform performance tuning, index optimization, and query analysis
• Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security of all managed databases
• Plan and execute migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime
• Automate routine tasks using scripts and monitoring tools
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
• Strong knowledge of high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations
• Familiar with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Skilled in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, or Nagios
• Ability to write scripts in Shell, PowerShell, or Python for automation
• Experience with security protocols, data encryption, and user access controls
