Join our team as a Senior Data Engineer and play a key role in designing and optimizing scalable data solutions for enterprise-level architecture projects.

Location: Lisbon or Porto (Hybrid work model)

Duration: 10 months

Start Date: ASAP

Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust ETL pipelines integrating multiple data sources.
• Model and manage data warehouses and schemas for reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data security and governance through best practices and compliance.
• Implement automation and orchestration using tools like Airflow, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Optimize pipeline performance leveraging Spark and Microsoft Fabric.
• Monitor pipelines and proactively resolve data quality or processing issues.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to support analytical and operational use cases.
• Document solutions and maintain high data engineering standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 to 9 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Fabric
• Understanding of data security, access control, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with relational databases and cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously in dynamic environments.
