Senior/ Principal Data & AI Consultant (Databricks / Microsoft Cloud / Qlik) - Portugal

A leading retail data & analytics organisation is expanding its team in Portugal and are recruiting for a Senior/ Principal - Data & AI Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse data initiatives, from architecture and pipeline development to advanced analytics and business enablement.

What you'll do:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks
• Work with large-scale datasets using Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL
• Develop analytical applications and dashboards using Qlik Sense
• Integrate BI solutions with modern cloud and lakehouse architectures
• Mentor project teams and support DevOps-led production deployments
• Provide strategic, client-facing consulting support
• Optimise performance and scalability across data platforms and BI solutions

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks (Microsoft Fabric is a plus)
• Proven experience delivering Qlik Sense solutions in project environments
• Strong understanding of data, analytics, and platform architectures
• Experience taking data pipelines and BI solutions from development into production
• Business-focused mindset when applying data and AI use cases
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Native-level Portuguese and advanced English speaker

Location: Lisbon, Portugal - Hybrid working model

Employment: Permanent or freelance/contract options available
