Adecco Permanent Recruitment is looking for a Senior Country Accountant for a multinational company in the healthcare sector. The companys office is based in Lisbon, and the work model is hybrid, requiring presence at the office just once a week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the execution of the external audit process for the assigned scope;
• Timely delivery of indirect and direct tax filings, as well as other local reporting obligations;
• Responsible for the preparation of account reconciliations for high-risk/Level 1 and 2 entities, acting as a reviewer for reconciliations of medium-risk/Level 3 entities;
• Act as a subject matter expert in accounting and reporting processes, as well as in tax-related matters;
• Mentor junior team members.

Profile

• Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
• More than 8 years of combined experience in accounting and finance;
• Experience in Tax (Direct and Indirect) accounting and compliance;
• Proven experience in the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements (mandatory);
• Fluent in English (mandatory);
• Proficient in MS Office, with experience in SAP considered an advantage.
• Analytical profile, able to translate complex financial concepts for finance and non-finance colleagues;
• Take full ownership of assigned tasks, including independent study/research required for their execution.
