An international project management consultancy that is acting as Owners Representative on a complex €600m+ data centre new build in Portugal is seeking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function of this complex build. The successful candidate will be number for the commercial management on behalf of the client, an international cloud provider.
The data centre sector in Europe continues to boom, each week multi-billion euro investments are announced across the continent and it shows no sign of slowing down. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division, makes an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Manager/Director to play a leading part in the delivery of one of Europe's largest and highest profile schemes under construction.
This client is well placed for strong growth across the next several years with the pipeline fully booked with orders from some of the most prestigious clients in the industry. There is a strong site team already in place with the expertise required to deliver projects successfully.
Senior Commercial Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the commercial & surveying aspects on sites
- Drafting weekly, monthly & quarterly reports
- Cost control/manage project spend
- Actively involved in tender/bid process from early stages
- Liaising with both production & technical teams
- Attending all project & team meetings
- Support end of project settlement agreements
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a senior level commercial management role
- Strong background in mission critical delivery
- A confident communicator who can demonstrate the ability to form and develop relationships with the client, design team and supply chain
- Longevity in previous roles
- Positive and hardworking attitude
