Smart Energy LAB is a Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB) held by EDP Comercial, Accenture, Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon, University of Coimbra, INESCTEC and INESC ID.

Smart Energy Lab has a unique combination of science, technology and industry in the energy sector, focused on creating new products and services for the downstream of the energy value chain.

In order to create the future, we are looking for a Senior Business Developer

As a Senior Business Developer you will perform tasks such as:

• Identify and map new business opportunities
• Conduct preliminary analysis to understand the needs and potential of each lead
• Schedule and conduct in-person or virtual meetings with potential and current clients
• Build trust-based relationships with clients, identifying sales and cross-selling opportunities
• Prepare commercial proposals tailored to each client's specific needs
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposals
• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions, ensuring a balance between client satisfaction and company objectives

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in commercial roles, preferably in technical or B2B areas
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail for administrative and contractual management
• Proactivity in identifying opportunities and solving problems
• Great combination of technical and business knowledge.
• Focus on results.
• Easiness to work with cross-functional teams
• Availability to travel
• Fluent english
• 5+ years experience in the energy sector
• International experience

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Employees need to have Portuguese tax residency, be located in mainland Portugal and be in the Lisbon region.
