Senior Magnolia Developer / Lisbon or Europe

Job Summary

As a Senior Magnolia Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality back-end solutions for Magnolia CMS projects. Your role involves designing scalable systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless integration with front-end components. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Develop and maintain back-end services for Magnolia CMS. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability. Integrate back-end services with front-end components and third-party services. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.

Extensive experience with Magnolia CMS.

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in back-end development.

Proven track record of successful project delivery.

Project & Team Environment

Team Size & Structure: Work within a diverse team of 8-12 developers, including front-end and back-end specialists. Report directly to the Lead Developer or Engineering Manager. Collaboration: Regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, UX/UI design, and QA. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Special Work Conditions: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or client interactions. Flexible working hours with options for remote work.

Duration: 6 month freelance contract

Location: Lisbon or remote across Europe
