Role: RMO Analyst - Trade Reconciliation Junior/Senior Associate


Role Overview:

This position is part of a Records Management Office (RMO) team that oversees and coordinates all aspects of regulatory and non-regulatory records for our client. The RMO implements proactive measures to meet regulatory scrutiny, and stringent corporate governance record keeping requirements. It is the RMO's goal to manage corporate records efficiently, protect and store records securely, make records accessible when necessary.


Record Management office description:

This role consists in:

Assisting in the execution and the implementation of Records Management strategy for AMER, EMEA and APAC's Records Management Office (RMO). The RMO analyst will assist in the progression of the RMO Target Operating Model strategy. This strategy will include a diverse set of records such as transactions (pre and post trade.


This role's scope:

The person filling this position will need to be able to partner and work across multiple cross-functional areas, including Information Technology, Compliance, Legal, Controls, centralized Records Management Program and the Data Management office.

RMO Team Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update RMO policy, procedures and retention schedule.
  • Support the automation of manual processing of regulatory and non-regulatory records.
  • Oversight of day-to-day BAU operations within RMO.
  • Engage and contribute in various RMO projects work such as control framework, RK improvements, annual recertification process etc.
  • Assist in the transformation of the firms' records management processes to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate in a complex environment, managing multiple complex initiatives covering global markets, technology, project management etc.
  • Familiarity with current regulations related to Records Management is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Work closely with IT to provide system administration oversight for the bank's internal records repositories, ensuring records management criteria is being implemented and operability is running efficiently.
  • Assist with analysing, troubleshooting and resolving system issues and bugs.
  • Collaborate with a multitude of stakeholders to achieve compliance with recordkeeping/data annual certifications.
  • Drive the RMO Change Management Governance Process by representing the RMO in various committees and managing events that could have an impact on recordkeeping requirements.


Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of industry standards data warehouse technologies.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle (pre-trade, post-trade, execution tickets, settlement, booking etc).
  • Familiarity with drop copy processing, database queries and record completeness monitoring.
  • Must be a quick learner and able to extract the required record from wide range of trading applications used in different asset classes.
  • Previous experience in monitoring and managing trading applications (FO/MO/BO) is beneficial.
  • Expert in managing structured (transaction data).
  • Previous experience in CFTC/SEC/Mifid record keeping and record management is beneficial.
  • Facilitate and lead a collaborative environment, ensuring subject matter experts can work outside the box. engage people, helping them solve their own issues.
