Emagine is currently looking for a Senior AI/Backend Software Engineer (AI Factory) to join one of our clients' AI Factory initiatives, an enterprise-wide program focused on building reusable AI tools, services, and platforms for internal project teams.

The selected professional will play a key role in defining scalable AI architectures, engineering standards, and deployment frameworks, thereby contributing directly to the development of the first operational AI use cases.

AI Factory Objectives:

• Build reusable AI tools and services for internal development teams.
• Industrialize AI development through scalable architectures and governance.
• Enable advanced AI capabilities such as agentic systems and MLOps.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting the AI Factory.
• Build and evolve reusable AI services, APIs, and frameworks.
• Develop agent-based architectures and AI-enabled services.
• Contribute to document ingestion pipelines and AI governance mechanisms.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data platforms and internal systems.
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and platform teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in architectural discussions and actively contribute ideas and improvements.

You bring:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong backend focus.
• Proven experience developing production-grade systems using Python.
• Experience building and integrating AI-enabled or data-driven applications.
• Strong understanding of scalable architectures and cloud-native systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute end-to-end solutions.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English (fluent).

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI Factory initiatives or enterprise AI platforms.
• Exposure to agentic architectures, MLOps, or AI governance.
• Front-end experience with React and/or Angular (for full-stack role).
• Experience in large enterprise or complex organizational environments.
