Adecco Recruitment is seeking for a Senior Accountant- IFRS for our client that is an international group acting in the banking sector.
Responsabilities
- Within Company and its Shared Service Center SSC responsible for the accounting of the European subsidiaries and more especially for the financial instrument accounting department;
- Validation and certification of the balance-sheet/off balance-sheet accounts in French GAAP for JVFR and IFRS by a reconciliation between accounting and Arpson Back Office application;
- Validation and analysis of the P&L by a reconciliation between accounting and controlling recalculation;
- Liaise with systems maintenance department in case of incidents or necessary system evolution;
- Ensure the formalization of the reconciliations and of the accounts certification;
- Ensure the relation and communication with the local accounting services, Back and Middle Offices, internal and external auditors for the financial market operation accounting department scope;
- Define and test accounting schemes for new JV financial operations (derivatives, hedging, securities, loans);
- As part of project management, required to participate in the establishment of new products or in the evolution study of existing operating systems;
- Analysis of mismatches on the reconciliations and correction by Back Office Application or by manual entries in accounting;
- Justification of the accounts and Inter/Co transactions;
- Respect of deadlines for the production and submission of financial statements for both shareholders;
- Analyses for account variations;
- Detection of accounting incidents declaration of the operational incidents.
Profile
- Strong knowledge on IFRS, intercompany transactions, and experience with accounting research;
- Experience in banking sector (plus);
- Master Degree in Accounting (plus);
- Fluent in English, French is advantage,
- Excellent command with Excel and manipulating large data sets is a must;
- Strong quantitative analysis skillset, with the ability to read, analyse, interpret and explain complex financial data;
- Be a self-starter, have a positive attitude, maintain a solution-oriented work ethic,
- Heavy emphasis on communication and being a team-player;
- Motivated by new challenges, strive to be consistently learning and improving;
- Ability to work dynamically with a variety of internal business partners;
- SAP, IBM Emulation (AS400), Magnitude and Arpson experience is helpful.
