 Your new company:

Join a multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry, taking on the role of Senior Accountant.

Your new role:

- Functional coordination and/or independent processing and posting of transactions related to the processes Quote-to-Record-to-Report and Invest-to-Dispose (Asset Accounting) and Purchase-to-Pay, in particular processing of incoming invoices, taking into account local VAT regulations;

- Functional coordination and/or preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the company subsidiaries or the European parent company in accordance with IFRS, local commercial and tax law (VAT);

- Posting and monitoring of partial payments, prepayments and accruals and timely management or preparation of payment rins;

- Management of open items incl. clarification of differences with the specialist departments, ongoing maintenance and reconciliation of general and sub-ledgers;

- Coordinating and/or preparing the internal reporting package for the group consolidation;

- Cross-functional cooperation with the internal central departments as well as with the local Finance Directors and local Finance staff;

- Contact person for the local affiliates, Internal Audit or external auditora;

- Leading or participation in projects or sub-projects for the optimization of accounting processes as well as the transformation of the European Finance Shared Services.

What do you need:

- Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Economics or comparable professional education with a strong track record;

- 5-7 years of experience in Accounting in an internationally operating company with various backgrounds, in accounts payable and accounts receivable and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;

- Experience in auditing, tax consulting or accounting-related management consulting desired (e.g. “Big Four” background), but not mandatory;

- Experience in project work in Finance & Accounting, ideally on advanced level and in the environment of process optimization in Global Business Services, Shared Services or in Transformation contextos;

- Excellent knowledge of IFRS, advanced knowledge international VAT law highly desired;

- Good knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4 HANA and MS-Office;

- Business fluent written and spoken English, very good French skills, knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
