Your New Role
We are seeking a SAP FICO Delivery Manager to lead the implementation and evolution of finance-related systems within our enterprise landscape. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of SAP FICO solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational efficiency across financial and controlling processes. You will act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, managing external delivery partners and ensuring that solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in solution design, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, technology, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of SAP FICO projects, ensuring alignment with financial and operational requirements.
- Manage external vendors and consultants, overseeing timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and tax teams to gather requirements and translate them into system functionalities.
- Provide guidance on SAP FICO architecture, configuration, and integration with other platforms.
- Monitor project progress, report key metrics, and ensure transparency with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices in system design and documentation.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities to ensure smooth transitions and system stability.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements across finance operations.
- Partner with enterprise architects to ensure consistency and scalability of solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP FICO, offering insights and recommendations to improve system performance and user experience.
What You Need to Succeed
- At least 7 years of experience working with SAP FICO, with deep knowledge of financial accounting and controlling modules.
- Proven track record in managing the delivery of SAP projects in large, global organizations.
- Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba) and tax automation tools (e.g., Vertex) is a strong advantage.
- Strong vendor management skills and experience working with outsourced delivery teams.
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across finance, IT, and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in FICO or related modules are highly valued.
