Your New Role
As an SAP Data Migration Expert, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute data migration objects within the scope of the company's SAPEX program. This role is regional (EU), but you will ensure synergies amongst regions in relevant objects and activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the end-to-end SAP Data Migration process.
- Design, develop, and execute data migration objects.
- Enhance and debug migration objects.
- Review current data quality and support improvements.
- Facilitate data extraction and transformation workshops to identify appropriate field mappings, value mappings, and business rules.
- Support data profiling, cleansing, and transformation.
- Assist with data load and cutover activities to migrate data to the target environment.
- Provide medium and complex cleansing rules where required and perform testing on the tool.
- Design and develop validation reports for business owners.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Over 8 years of experience in a SAP developer role focused on Data Migration.
- Experience in end-to-end Data Migration Projects for SAP Deployments.
- Proficiency in S4 HANA Data Migration and Fiori app, LTMC, LTMOM.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge of BODS and S/4 HANA Migration Cockpit (2022 beneficial). LSMW is a plus.
- Expertise in Data Models, Database Design (Oracle SQL or MS SQL), Access queries, and report writing.
- College or University degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of SAP system architecture and broad knowledge of business functions. Specific knowledge of master and transactional data objects in SAP (SD, MM, WM, PP, QM, FI, CO).
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- ABAP development experience is an advantage.
- Good understanding of SAP Data Migration with DS as ETL is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, schema formation, and SQL queries.
- Technical understanding of data in terms of Configuration data, Master data, and Transactional data handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive personality.
