Job Opportunity: SAP CRM Lead - Lisbon (Full-Time)


Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Type: Full-Time, Long-term

Experience: 10-15 years


We are seeking an experienced SAP CRM Lead to join our Lisbon-based team and drive the design, delivery, and optimisation of SAP CRM solutions across large, complex, multi-year transformation programmes within the Utilities (Energy, Gas, Water) sector.

This role requires a strong blend of functional depth, technical oversight, integration expertise, and leadership capability, with a proven track record delivering full-cycle SAP CRM programmes (Greenfield, Brownfield or Bluefield).


Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Strategy & Design

  • Define end-to-end SAP CRM solution architecture aligned with business strategy and industry best practices.
  • Lead requirements gathering, blueprinting, and solution roadmapping for CRM, Marketing, Sales, Service, and multi-channel foundations.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, S/4HANA utilities roadmaps, and Clean Core principles (nice to have).

2. Implementation & Integration

  • Oversee and guide SAP CRM implementations across complex landscapes.
  • Ensure seamless integration with SAP Middleware (PI/PO/CPI), SAP Web Services, RFCs, and 3rd-party systems.
  • Lead solution enhancements including custom reports, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Define and enforce testing strategies for SIT, UAT, regression and automation.
  • Ensure solution quality and stability across CRM upgrades, ERMS, Home Move processes, and multi-channel scenarios.

4. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Support change impact assessments, communication, training, and adoption plans.
  • Engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth deployment.

5. Governance & Best Practices

  • Apply strong delivery governance through ASAP, Activate and Agile methodologies.
  • Establish documentation standards, design authority processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across CRM capability areas.


Required Skills & Experience

Technical Proficiency

  • Deep expertise in SAP CRM (Modules: Marketing, Sales, Service).
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
  • SAP Middleware (PI/PO/CPI)
  • SAP Web Services and 3rd-party integrations
  • Debugging, troubleshooting
  • User exits, BADIs, BAPIs, RFCs
  • Custom reports and complex enhancement frameworks
  • Experience with:
  • ERMS, Home Move, CRM automation
  • CRM upgrades and multi-channel foundations

Business & Industry Insight

  • Strong domain knowledge of Utilities (Energy, Gas, Water) processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience designing customer-centric journeys in complex operational environments.

Delivery & Leadership

  • 10-15 years of total SAP experience, including leadership roles.
  • Minimum of two full-cycle SAP CRM programmes delivered (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Bluefield).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendors, integrators, and distributed delivery models.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (oral and written).


Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP Clean Core principles and S/4HANA Utilities roadmap & innovations.
  • Integration with OpenText for document management and automation.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP or cloud-based CRM/Customer Experience extensions.
