Your new role
As an SAP Basis Service Manager, you will take ownership of service delivery and operational stability across a complex SAP landscape. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will ensure that systems remain highly available, performant, and aligned with business expectations, while continuously enhancing service management standards and processes.
You will work closely with technical teams, service partners, and stakeholders to maintain operational excellence, mitigate risks, and drive measurable improvements across the SAP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end service operations for SAP environments, ensuring reliability and high availability across platforms
  • Manage and refine IT service management processes in line with ITIL best practices, including incidents, changes, and problems 
  • Monitor service performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs and driving corrective actions where required
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external service providers
  • Track and analyse KPIs to support data-driven improvements and operational decision-making
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to improve service quality and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including operational procedures and service-related artefacts
  • Support governance, compliance, and security standards across SAP services
  • Promote continuous service improvement initiatives and optimisation strategies

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in IT service operations, ideally within SAP environments
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management methodologies
  • Exposure to SAP platforms such as ECC, S/4HANA, or related Basis environments
  • Experience handling SLAs, KPIs, and performance monitoring within complex systems
  • Ability to operate in global, cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of SAP monitoring tools (e.g. Solution Manager or Cloud ALM)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and enterprise integrations
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Interest in automation, optimisation, and emerging technologies
