The Global Risk & Reporting Department (RRD) is a first tier Body in the structure of Bison Bank, S.A., and reports to the Board of Directors through the Board member responsible. The RRD role covers not only the banking activities of Bison Bank, but also the virtual assets activity conducted by its fully owned subsidiary, Bison Digital Assets.

Within the scope of Internal Control, the RRD acts as a second line of defence, analysing, verifying the effectiveness and cooperation for the implementation of risk management measures by the first lines of defence (business areas) to ensure that processes and controls in place are effective.

The mission of RRD is to advise the Board of Directors in the definition and implementation of risk policies, in line with the strategic and business objectives, as well as supporting the management in pursuing its objectives, through an independent assessment, monitoring and control of the risks.

Also, to develop practices that allow the identification, assessment, monitoring and control of all materially relevant risks to which the Bank is subject, both internally and externally, so that they remain within the limits established by the management body, and do not affect materially the Bank's financial situation.


Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports that are designed to inform the management body of the risk profile for the Institution's.
  • Analyze changes in the regulatory framework applicable to credit institutions and implement the necessary changes within the Institution's framework.
  • Participate in Risk Management exercises, namely in the elaboration of ICAAP, ILAAP and IRRBB reports, and collaboration to other Bank' risk exercises (Recovery Plan, Funding and Capital Plan).
  • Support the definition of policies and risk profile.
  • Support the development of methodologies and metrics that guarantee the correct assessment of risks.
  • Optimization of processes through efficiency and effectiveness gains.
  • Contribution to other regulatory reports and other internal reports.


Relevant Skills

  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication capabilities and teamwork spirit.
  • Adaptability, proactivity, and multitasking.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in using Excel. Programming skills in SQL or Python would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in English (Written and Spoken).


Experience and academic background

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring financial risks.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience covering banking risk activities
