The Residence Manager oversees and manages all operations within the student residence. This role ensures a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for both staff and residents. The director also manages personnel, maintains optimal facility conditions, and fosters a positive community culture within the residence.

Description

  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and oversee internal and external staff, including receptionists, housekeeping, maintenance, and security personnel.

  • Operational Management: Ensure smooth operations across all aspects of the residence, including property maintenance, room allocations, safety management, and emergency response.

  • Commercial Management: Achieve commercial targets for the residence and manage inquiries and site visits with prospective clients.

  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Marketing department to create and implement programs and activities that promote student engagement, well-being, and personal development within the residence community.

  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing resident's concerns and needs promptly and effectively.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the residence adheres to all local and state regulations and standards related to student housing and safety.

  • Budget and Finance Management: Oversee the residence budget, monitor expenses, optimise operational efficiency, and manage billing and collections.

  • Institutional Collaboration: Partner with other institutional departments, including student services, campus security, and academic administration, to support institutional goals and provide a comprehensive student living experience.

  • Problem Resolution: Effectively address and resolve conflicts or issues within the residence, maintaining a harmonious and respectful environment.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in fields such as Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or related areas.
Prior experience managing student residences, hotels, or similar environments in educational or hospitality sectors.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
Strong communication abilities and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders.
Results-oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure to meet and exceed sales goals.
Proficiency in working effectively in dynamic, fast-paced, and multitasking environments.
Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards for student residences.
Customer service orientation and experience working with diverse student populations.
Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies outside regular working hours when required.
