The organization operates globally and has been investing in the development of a Shared Services Center in Lisbon, promoting a culture based on collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Your New Function
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and closing timelines;
- Perform detailed account reconciliations (balance sheet, sub-ledger, intercompany);
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities;
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, confirming balances and resolving discrepancies;
- Prepare Opex reports and support management reporting requirements;
- Validate and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of variances;
- Support half-year and year-end reporting processes with schedules and disclosures;
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit-ready documentation;
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and SLAs;
- Provide support during internal and external audits;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related queries;
- Identify risks, discrepancies, and control issues, escalating when necessary;
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives within R2R processes;
- Monitor and support KPIs related to financial closing and reporting processes.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory);
- 2–4 years of experience in R2R, General Ledger, or Financial Accounting;
- Previous experience in SSC or multinational environment (preferred);
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP);
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (mandatory);
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, macros);
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and closing activities;
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail;
- Autonomous, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines;
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management;
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.
