About the Role

A QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software through a combination of manual and automated testing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of testing best practices and the ability to write and maintain automated tests. The QA Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites, test cases, and test plans using test management tools (e.g., Kualitee).
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and regression testing using appropriate test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Run, interpret, and troubleshoot automated test results, identifying issues and working with developers to resolve them.
  • Perform manual functional, exploratory, and regression testing to identify software defects and usability issues.
  • Document and track defects using test management tools (e.g., Kualitee), ensuring clear, concise, and actionable defect reports.
  • Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria for new features and tasks in collaboration with the Product and Development teams.
  • Ensure that the software meets design, functional, performance, and security standards.
  • Contribute to the integration of automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure timely feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and test results, providing regular updates to stakeholders.



Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency with test management tools such as Kualitee.
  • Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices in both manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for writing and maintaining automation scripts.


AI Integration & Innovation

  • Implement AI-powered code review processes.
  • Utilize AI for security review and assessment.
  • Leverage AI for unit, performance, and security testing.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Partner with the Product team to identify potential product improvements and areas of vulnerability.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress, automation coverage, and quality metrics.
  • Document test strategies, test cases, and automation frameworks, maintaining clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to contribute to the overall quality goals.

  • Reporting: Report directly to QA Manager.
