Python Fullstack Tech Lead - French Speaking

Location: Portugal

Hybrid: Full remote

Type of Contract: Permanent Contract or Freelance contract

Mandatory Languages: French (C1+) and English (B2 minimum)

Position Overview:

Join a strategic initiative at the crossroads of gamification, mobility, and digital transformation! You'll play a central, structuring role in a nearshore setup for a mission that connects three major players in France's innovation ecosystem

? Required Skills

• 7 to 10 years of experience in software development with expertise in Python, Django and React
• Proven experience in technical leadership and team management. - you've led teams or been the go-to tech person.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, testing, and performance optimization.
• Previous experience in SaaS, data platforms, or mobility/automotive projects is a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills - you keep things moving and people aligned.
• Comfortable working in an international, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Fluent in French (spoken and written) - must-have!
• Available for occasional travels to France - must-have!
• Candidates must be in Portugal already and with permission to work in Portugal - must have!
• Bonus points if you have DevOps/cloud experience (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

Your Mission

As the Tech Lead, you will:

• Be the technical backbone of the Portuguese team setup.
• Coordinate and mentor a team of developers.
• Ensure seamless communication with French-speaking stakeholders
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of backend systems with a strong focus on Python.
• Align development efforts with agile practices and project goals.
• Act as a bridge between business and tech, ensuring clarity, quality, and velocity.
