We are recruiting for a Project Sustainability Coordinator on behalf of a leading European Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering large-scale data centre and advanced manufacturing projects in Portugal. This Project Sustainability Coordinator job is based on site in the Sines region (Lisbon-supported), and is a brilliant opportunity to grow your career inside a high-performing ESG and sustainability function.

The Role

The Project Sustainability Coordinator will support live construction sites and project teams, helping deliver the company's "Build Beyond" sustainability strategy. You will report into the Head of Sustainability & ESG and work closely with project directors, supply chain partners and certification bodies on BREEAM / LEED outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Collate evidence for sustainability certifications (LEED, BREEAM or equivalent)

Carry out site inspections and support operational compliance

Draft Construction Environmental Management Plans, social value assessments and pollution incident response plans

Support ESG reporting, gap analysis and data quality for sustainability metrics

Engage stakeholders - clients, regulators, designers and supply chain - on sustainability targets

What You'll Bring

Qualification in environmental / sustainability / ESG (degree desirable)

Experience in a professional environment - construction site exposure a strong plus

Strong reporting, data handling and communication skills

Driving licence; CSCS / ISO 14001 internal auditor desirable

Portuguese language NOT required for this Coordinator role

What's on Offer

Salary: €38,000 - €45,000

Location: Lisbon, supporting Sines sites - 5 days on site (no remote)

Food allowance €8/working day (paid 11 months/year)
