SRAM Portugal is looking to strengthen its team by hiring a Project Manager to support operational projects and value stream implementations in an industrial environment. This role will play an active part in the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects for a product or a product family (i.e., a value stream), working closely with Value Stream Leaders, functional teams, and global partners from the project phase through production launch and stabilization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of industrial and manufacturing process projects, ensuring activities are executed according to the defined plan;
- Coordinate project activities across internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, and requirements;
- Track project progress, identify deviations, and support the definition and implementation of corrective actions;
- Contribute to supplier qualification, equipment implementation, and preparation for production ramp-up;
- Support the definition and improvement of material and information flows across the production process;
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain to ensure effective project execution;
- Monitor project KPIs and prepare status reports;
- Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to process optimization and waste reduction;
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and safety policies within project activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar;
- Any additional Project Management Certifications will be considered an advantage;
- Experience working with multiple project methodologies (desirable);
- Portuguese and English proficiency (written and spoken);
- Understanding of the product and its components (desirable);
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities in a fast-changing market;
- Strong project management skills, including planning, ownership, and cross-functional coordination;
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing;
- Hands-on attitude and problem-solving mindset;
- Industry work experience (desirable).
