General Description


The Project Manager E&C is responsible for the overall management and implementation of new wind and solar projects. Ensures that the projects are front loaded with rigorous planning, value engineering, constructability processes, and best practices. Directs the project team, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, time, and cost objectives.


Main Accountabilities


  • Preliminary Design and Design Review of Civil Works
  • Development of a strategy and planning for each project
  • Identification of resource requirements, and respective management from initiation to closing
  • Provides strong safety leadership in setting standards for construction safety and oversee construction sites
  • Provides hands-on leadership, planning, direction, and management of procurement, contract administration and construction resources to assure total quality and project delivery on time and within budget
  • Development and implementation of lean construction techniques
  • Ensure commercial and contract management process are in place, for each project
  • Responsible for the project reporting processes regarding key safety and construction indicators.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implementation of appropriate mitigation/contingency/action plans, in liaison with the project team
  • Review and improve the project H&S plan and respective construction safety procedures and guidelines
  • Manage project level expenditures and invoice processing
  • Development, monitoring and accountable of project budgets and cost.
  • Continuous alignment and support to Finerge internal departments, such as the Legal, Project Development, Finance, QHES, O&M.
  • Communicate information continuously and effectively to cross-functional team
  • Stakeholder management and Project representative towards external entities, as service providers, authorities, local communities.
  • Interface Management of the different project contracts
  • Ensure adequate site presence and perform respective Quality assurance


Experience


  • Min 5 years of project/construction management experience in the energy sector
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
  • Experience with renewables projects
  • Experience in procurement and contract management of Balance of Plant works


Academic Background


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil Engineering.), or a related field; Master's degree (MSc) in Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering.
  • Complementary academic background in renewables is valued

  • Portuguese as native language
  • Min B2 level of English required
  • Spanish is valued
