Adecco Permanent Recruitment is recruiting a Project Manager (m/f) for Scotland.
Our client is a multinational company of reference in the energy and construction sector and wants someone for an open-ended contract.
Only applications from profiles with B1 and higher domains in English will be accepted.
Main day-to-day responsibilities
• Coordinates field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, designers and clients;
• Supervises all phases of the project pre-start, execution and completion;
• Makes frequent visits to construction sites, assesses progress, reviews documentation, and identifies risks;
• Communicates directly with the client and presents progress reports in meetings;
• Deals with administrative and technical issues such as submitting drawings, approving documentation, and managing resources;
• Ensures that all activities follow health and safety standards;
• Ensures that everything is well documented and recorded;
• After each project, critically analyze what went well and what can be improved.

You are also responsible for
• Create and maintain detailed project plans;
• Monitor deadlines, costs and goals;
• Manage unforeseen events, scope changes, technical problems or delays;
• Maintain positive relationships with all parties involved (clients, internal and external teams);
• Support, motivate and manage people, including recruitment and performance evaluation.

Ideal profile for this role
• Solid experience in engineering/construction project management;
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills;
• Comfortable dealing with pressure, deadlines and multiple actors at the same time;
• Good knowledge of health and safety (NEBOSH is an advantage);
• Technical knowledge (Microsoft Project, Excel, reading technical drawings);
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a practical sense.

Typical training
• Higher education (or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction or Project Management;
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is valued;
• Occupational safety training is a bonus.
