Ion Exchange (India) Ltd., a global leader in water and wastewater treatment solutions, has strengthened its European presence through its subsidiary, Mapril Lda, based in Portugal.
The Mission: We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead the lifecycle of complex wastewater treatment projects. From initial process design to final commissioning, you will be the lead ensuring our systems deliver clean water back to the environment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist management to ensure project success
- Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
- Engineering Design: Develop and review Layout, P&IDs, PFDs, and hydraulic calculations for municipal and industrial treatment plants. (technical writing)
- Project Lifecycle Management: Manage schedules, budgets, and technical submittals from "kick-off" to "handover."
- Contractor Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact for field contractors and vendors. (Vendor negotiation)
- Regulatory Liaison: Ensure all designs comply with EPA and local environmental discharge standards.
- Commissioning: Lead on-site startup, equipment testing, and operator training.
Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 1 - 3 years of experience as a project engineer
- Experience in AutoCAD/3D pipping and project management software (MS Project) will be preferred
- Understanding of pump hydraulics, biological nutrient removal (BNR), and SCADA integration.
