Description

• Take ownership of month-end and period-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and project-related accounting records.
• Review and validate financial information received from external partners and stakeholders.
• Analyse balance sheet accounts, perform reconciliations, and ensure appropriate accounting treatment of assets, liabilities, costs, and revenue recognition items.
• Monitor project financial performance and validate accounting entries using supporting documentation, forecasts, contractual information, and operational data.
• Prepare management and financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, and business teams to support reporting requirements and resolve accounting queries.
• Contribute to the assessment of new contracts and commercial agreements, determining the appropriate accounting treatment in line with relevant standards.
• Support internal controls, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate external audits and act as a key contact for auditors throughout the audit process.
• Assist with tax reporting and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for strategic finance projects.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (or progress towards one) is advantageous.
• Solid experience in financial reporting, project accounting, or general accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing audit processes.
• Comfortable analysing complex contracts and translating commercial arrangements into accounting treatments.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
