About Oh!MySnacks

At Oh! MySnacks, our mission is to revolutionise the way people think about and consume snacks. Based on healthy, nutritious and delicious ingredients, our products are designed to offer not only dietary balance but also flavour and convenience.

The role

We are seeking a Product Development Technician to speed up the prototyping, characterisation and scientific documentation of our new snacks. You will work in our pilot laboratory in close collaboration with the international Scientific Committee, the Head of Nutrition and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pilot batches and execute experimental designs.
• In vitro digestion of newly developed products
• Carry out physico-chemical characterisation (pH, aW, texture, colour, stability).
• Organise sensory tests: sample coding, set-up, feedback collection.
• Keep meticulous records in lab notebooks and digital systems; draft technical reports.
• Manage raw-material inventory and liaise with Head of Nutrition.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment (texture analyser, colourimeter, etc.).
• Ensure GMP and food-safety standards in all operations.
• Coordinate trials aligned with R&D objectives.
• Transfer know-how to potential manufacturing partners.
• Draft scientific papers when results warrant publication.

Qualifications & profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nutrition or a related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in a food laboratory or product-development environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food-analysis methods, basic statistics and laboratory software.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food-safety protocols.
• English and Portuguese fluency: ability to write scientific reports in Portuguese and English.
• Rigorous, well-organised and enjoys practical, hands-on work.
