Ferring is opening an IT Center of Excellence (CoE) in Lisbon, Portugal, to build and operate a new global ERP platform and we are looking to attract qualified and motivated candidates. To enable Ferring to keep up with new demands, changes and business needs, we are now recruiting a professional team that will implement the new ERP in countries throughout the world as well as its central and support functions. The ERP program is expected to run for at least four years and the scope of the new team’s work will include global implementation, as well as on-going operation and maintenance. In addition, the IT CoE in Lisbon will be an integral part of Ferring’s Global IT Function.

Your new role

This leading architect role is responsible for the entire application portfolio on the Kinaxis platform and requires high integration to the SAP platform.

You will drive solutions during Deployments supported by the Architecture and Integration layer; provide guidance on how requirements (backlog) can be implemented; approve functional design specifications (FDS) and review technical design specifications (TDS) (configuration documents and RICEFs); provide inputs to preparation of test specifications for the global core functionalities; support the Change Requests for Core functionalities and Local Requirements together with the Business resources; manage the Change Requests for localizations; support creation of Cutover plan and execution in areas. It is also part of your responsibility to support technical cutover (go live preparation and transition management) where required, and, finally, participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre and Post PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt(I&A) events.

This professional will cover the entire Kinaxis platform management, and it is also expected that you can fulfil the role of the Application Analyst in certain areas (no “pure application lead” role). 

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a talented professional with experience in Kinaxis, ideally in the Life Sciences industry. You will need to be familiar with Agile Delivery principles and frameworks and you must be able to assist/drive solution and process design discussions. This requires a clear understanding of business processes in the application area, including integration points with other areas. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role, along with the ability to express complex technical concepts into easily understood terms. Additionally, business acumen and collaboration skills are required, as well as being able to operate in a dynamic environment.
