We're seeking a Principal Engineer (Hybrid Lisbon).

Your Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & Strategy (Define and drive the technical vision for products, platforms, or infrastructure).
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices (e.g., code quality, CI/CD, DevOps).
• Stay ahead of industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact.
• Design and oversee the architecture of scalable, high-performance, and resilient systems.
• Lead decisions on cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and API design.
• Document and communicate architectural guidelines to ensure consistency across teams.
• Act as a technical mentor for engineers at all levels.
• Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and design critiques.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Business Leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Align engineering efforts across multiple teams and departments.
• Ensure that systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Advocate for performance optimization, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Define and monitor KPIs for system reliability and efficiency.
• While not a full-time coder, still engage in critical coding tasks, prototyping, or debugging.
