Our client in the industrial sector, is looking for a Plant Cost Analyst to join their team in Amarante, supporting operations in Switzerland. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in cost analysis who want to work in an international environment.
As a Plant Cost Analyst, you will work closely with the financial and operational teams, ensuring that management has access to strategic and accurate financial information to optimize the costs of the plant in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and monitor activity rates (hourly rates).
- Manage overhead expenses, analyzing and maintaining allocation rates.
- Monitor and analyze absorption variances in direct and indirect production costs.
- Analyze weighted average cost and propose cost reduction strategies.
- Implement and maintain control tables for direct and general costs.
- Assess inventory and work in progress, creating dashboards to monitor variances.
- Prepare and analyze investment ROI, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Support CAPEX reporting and analyze investment opportunities in the plant.
- Participate in the development of budgeting and financial forecasting (OPEX and CAPEX).
- Define and control standard costs, analyzing production variances.
- Reconcile goods receipts (GR) with invoiced receipts (IR) and resolve discrepancies between invoices and system data.
- Implement cost control and improvement processes, contributing to the plants financial efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and cost calculation principles.
- Work closely with the plants management team to enhance cost awareness.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and collaborate with international teams.
Profile
Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in cost analysis, preferably in an industrial setting.
Fluency in English and Portuguese (C1/C2) and French (B2) is a plus but not required.
Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to synthesize data.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus) and advanced Excel and BI tools proficiency.
Availability to travel to Switzerland (1 week every 2 months).
