Currently, we have 3 workshops in the north of Portugal, more specifically, in Ponte de Lima, Penafiel and Santa Maria da Feira. Reporting to the Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits Manager, your primary mission will be to optimize performance and ensure compliance of payroll processing operations, ensuring the timely and accurate payment of salaries to our employees.


In this sense, the professional will be responsible for:

  • Executing payroll processing and implementing controls to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Establishing structured payroll processing cycles to maintain consistency in compensation delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining procedures for salary calculations, monitoring operations, and implementing improvements.
  • Implementing compliance structures, leading audit preparation, and executing continuous monitoring.
  • Managing regulatory changes, assessing their impact, and developing control systems for data security.
  • Managing payroll system operations, integration processes, and testing controls.
  • Implementing reconciliation processes and developing reporting solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance to HR teams, managing relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Leading the resolution of complex issues, implementing communication protocols, and managing stakeholder engagement.


Is this position for you?

You have a higher education in Human Resources Management or a related field and proven experience in payroll processing, demonstrating mastery of Portuguese labor and tax legislation. Knowledge of best practices in payroll process management and experience in the implementation of internal controls. Excellent communication, organizational, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. Proactive, rigorous, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality. Experience using payroll software and other HR management tools. Values teamwork and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with different areas of the company.
