Position: Network & Security Specialist

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid - 1x/week in-office)

What You'll Do:

• Provide 2nd-line technical support in network environments (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi);

• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues;

• Administer and monitor Check Point security solutions (e.g., firewalls, VPNs);

• Manage and configure F5 appliances (BIG-IP, LTM, ASM, etc.);

• Participate in network infrastructure improvements and optimization initiatives;

• Document technical procedures, incidents, and configurations;

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of IP networks and hands-on experience with Check Point and F5 solutions;

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;

• 2-3 years of professional experience in similar roles;

• Experience with Check Point firewalls (minimum certifications: CCSA, CCST) and F5 (e.g., F5-CTS);

• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, switching, routing, NAT, VPNs;

• Experience with F5 Networks solutions, especially BIG-IP, LTM, and iRules;

• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, tcpdump;

• Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Shell) and experience with automation;

• Knowledge of CISCO ACI;

• Ability to work under pressure in critical environments;

• Understanding of ITSM frameworks, particularly ITIL;

• Willingness to work non-standard hours / on-call as needed;

• Strong communication, synthesis, and writing skills.
