Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organization, the company has grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in the sector.
They are seeking an MEP Lead to join their team in Iberia, Portugal. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, subcontractors, and supervisors.
- Proposing suitable changes to design to improve cost efficiency, ease construction programme, and to enhance specification and quality completion.
- Review and approve MEP design documentation, technical submittals, and method statements.
- Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
- Coordinate and liaise with contracts manager, site engineers and other discipline leads to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information
- Check and ensure understanding of drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in a timely manner
- Establish project resource requirements and lead and motivate the project team
- Oversee highest quality of health and safety
Requirements
- Bachelors' degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant area
- Minimum 10+ years experience in large-scale construction or data centre projects, with a strong MEP focus.
- Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in the delivery in Data Center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
