For the academic year (September), we are looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Mathematics Teacher for Middle and Upper School (ages 9 to 18).

Requirements

A degree in Mathematics and a recognized teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).

A valid EU passport or work permit allowing employment in Portugal.

Fluent English speaker.

Strong commitment to innovation, creativity, collaboration, and flexibility in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development and Delivery: Collaborate with the department to plan and deliver engaging lessons following the Cambridge curriculum.

Classroom Instruction: Use a range of teaching strategies fostering a positive classroom environment to enhance students' understanding of Mathematics.

Assessment: Design and implement varied assessment methods to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching approaches and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs, including students with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across the mathematics department and the wider school community to support interdisciplinary learning and student development.

Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional learning to stay updated with the latest developments in Mathematics education and pedagogy.

Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, academic concerns, and ways to support learning.
