Machine Learning and Computer Vision Engineer opportunity with a Robotics company. This role is based in Portugal on a flexible, hybrid basis.


Our client, a tech-for-good company, is seeking an ML/CV Engineer to join them at an exciting stage of growth for the business.

About the role:

  • Lead development and training of computer vision models
  • Oversee the full ML lifecycle from data collection to deployment on robotic platforms
  • Build and maintain scalable ML Ops pipelines and retraining workflows
  • Integrate models into production systems and optimise for real-world conditions
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-accuracy sensing in varied environments
  • Implement automation and manage large-scale datasets for multiple purposes


About you:

  • Demonstrate a clear passion for computer vision and automation
  • Degree in a field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or similar
  • A few years of commercial experience in ML, CV, and deep learning with a strong project portfolio
  • Skilled in ML Ops and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of classic vision techniques and their practical use
  • Experience with object detection and image segmentation as well as understanding lighting systems for the purpose of high accuracy in low-light
  • Skilled in Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally with hardware teams
  • "Nice to haves" include multi-object tracking, noise reduction, ROS knowledge
