Our client is a multinational company in the industrial sector that is seeking to hire a Legal Manager for their Lisbon offices (m/f/d).
As a Legal Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager in Portugal, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with regulations that affect any of the Business Units (BUs) and departments of the company;
Providing legal advice to the various BUs and departments on legal matters;
Preparing, reviewing, and updating the records and accounting books, as well as the corporate records of the legal entity;
Drafting and negotiating all the company’s commercial contracts, including national and international commercial agreements (distribution contracts, sales and purchase agreements, service provisions, leasing, logistics, sponsorships, agency agreements, etc.);
Assisting legally in any commercial operations of the company, as well as overseeing the management of legal disputes in which the company may be involved, including the handling of judicial and arbitration procedures;
Conducting analysis and monitoring of regulations applicable in Portugal regarding commercial, operational, and corporate matters, ensuring the company complies with the corresponding legal obligations;
Advising on the company’s structure and potential modifications that can be made to enhance its efficiency and profitability;
Analyzing and managing risks to minimize their impact and prevent the assumption of criminal liability;
Taking on the responsibilities of the compliance officer, data protection coordinator, and regulatory affairs.
