Your New Role
As the Lead Functional Architect for Strategic ERP Solutions, you will serve as the primary authority on business process design. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives and driving the development and implementation of best practice business processes across various business areas and regions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the design and modification of architecture across various application layers for the SAP S4HANA ERP program, including factory, MES, and ERP layers.
- Ensure that agreed requests for changes (RFCs) from the Change Control Board (both project and business as usual) are catalogued, prioritised, resourced, monitored, managed, and closed within agreed timeframes and quality standards, in consultation with ERP Program Delivery and ERP Service Operations Service Delivery Managers.
- Maintain quality and assurance of process integrity across different functional areas.
- Direct cross-functional teams to deliver breakthrough process improvements, ensuring scalability, reusability, defect reduction, and world-class quality of business processes.
- Evaluate end-to-end process capabilities and business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse current practices, best practices, and lessons learnt to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align business resources and partner with IT across the region.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- College or University degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience managing design-stage ERP projects.
- Expert-level understanding of the SAP product suite.
- Extensive experience with SAP configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls.
- Experience defining business requirements and writing functional design documentation.
- Proficiency in documenting current state business processes and wireframing system designs.
- Expert-level experience in defining system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps between current and desired states, and delivering comprehensive solutions to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Experience integrating SAP with different business systems and working with integration tools.
- Full lifecycle ERP experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, shop floor, commercial, and finance processes and operations.
- Experience managing remote or dotted line staff in multiple countries.
- In-depth knowledge of change management approaches and techniques.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
