You will be joining a leading company in the unmanned technology sector, renowned for its innovative surveillance-as-a-service solutions that enhance maritime safety and save lives. Your new role

As Lead Data Scientist, you will support the business as the first line of contact. You will lead a team of data scientists in developing and implementing advanced data science solutions across Computer Vision, Signal Processing, and LLM. You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to find sustainable solutions, perform root cause analysis, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact data initiatives. 

Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data scientists.
• Define and drive the data science strategy.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data projects.
• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to extract insights.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.


What You Will Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, scikit-learn.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, pandas, Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proven leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
