As one of our Data Engineers, your key responsibilities will include improving the functionality and performance of our existing systems, implementing strong security and data protection measures, and working closely with team members to understand their needs and deliver technical solutions. You will also integrate user-facing elements into applications, provide development task estimates and status updates, write efficient and scalable code, and contribute to the design of new features, fostering innovation within the company.

• Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
•  Interpret trends and patterns
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
• Analyze and organize raw information from different sources
• Build data systems, pipelines, algorithms and prototypes
• Develop analytical tools and programs
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects

About you:

• Based in Lisbon
• Fluent in English
• Proven success in a data engineering role (Python focused)
• Experience in hands-on development of ELT/ELT pipelines
• Experience in working in Azure, Pyspark environments
• Advanced analytical (statistics) and data visualization (Power BI) skills would be a strong differentiator

Hybrid, working 3 days a week in the office!
Temporary project - 7 to 9 months
