We are seeking experienced French-speaking Java Developers to join our Consultancy team based in either Porto or Lisbon. This is a fantastic opportunity for technically skilled professionals looking to work in a dynamic, international environment while contributing to innovative projects across various sectors.

The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications, while ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver bespoke software solutions that meet complex business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Collaborate with analysts and designers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Maintain clear documentation for deployed solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong knowledge of Java SE and Java EE.
• Fluent in French and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar.
• Familiarity with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of database systems, particularly MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desirable:

• Experience working in consultancy or client-facing roles.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar.
