Join Our Clients Team as a Java Developer!
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Java Developer to join a growing international team supporting a national-scale infrastructure platform in the Netherlands. The role is part of a long-term digital transformation initiative led by one of the worlds largest IT services companies.
Location Lisbon (Alfragide) Hybrid (2 days/week on-site)
Contract Full-time, direct with our client
Your Role
As a Java Developer, you will design, develop and maintain Java-based business applications supporting complex logistics and infrastructure processes. You will be part of a collaborative team contributing to the full development cycle with a focus on quality, scalability and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Use established tools and conventions with Java, Oracle, JavaScript, CSS, React, Angular
- Maintain and enhance complex Java applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale developments
- Monitor application performance and propose improvements
- Lead troubleshooting and resolve defects
- Participate in design discussions, prepare technical documentation and test plans
- Ensure CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Bamboo) and quality standards (SonarQube)
Requirements and Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience with complex Java-based enterprise systems
- Experience with tools and frameworks like
- Linux, Maven, Oracle DB, Tibco EMS, Ansible, Splunk
- Jenkins/Bamboo, Git, SonarQube
- React, Angular
- Excellent understanding of OOP, SOA, MVC, Agile & SDLC
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Passion for continuous learning and innovation
Nice to Have
- Java and Oracle professional certifications
- Background in infrastructure, logistics or public systems
- Experience leading distributed Agile teams
