We are seeking a seasoned IT Architect with deep expertise in VMware technologies, vendor selection and management, and business case development. You will play a key role in shaping Rockwool's IT infrastructure strategy, evaluating and selecting a vendor, and ensuring robust and cost-effective architectural designs aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the vendor selection of an alternative to VMware (NEEDS TO HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE);
• Vendor management;
• Build and present business case;
• Create and present POC before 31.12.24.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on infrastructure and virtualization.
• Deep hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite.
• Proven track record in vendor evaluation and selection, including contract negotiation and service delivery oversight.
• Strong background in building business cases and presenting them to senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud strategies.
• Experience in global enterprise environments, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Certifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Advanced Professional (VCAP).
• TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification.
• ITIL Foundation or higher.
• PMP or PRINCE2 (a plus).
