You will be joining an international industrial technology group operating within the advanced materials sector, with a strong focus on carbon-based solutions, specialty graphite, carbon fibres and composite materials. Your new role
As an IT Application Consultant SAP Sales & CRM, you will play a key role in supporting and improving the organisation’s global sales application landscape. You will work closely with business stakeholders, key users, internal IT teams and external partners to translate sales-related requirements into effective system solutions, with a particular focus on SAP SD Sales, CRM processes, integrated tools and MS Dynamics environments.
This is a functional and technical consulting position where you will combine business process understanding with hands-on application support, configuration, incident analysis and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to international projects, change management activities and the ongoing optimisation of the company’s sales and CRM ecosystem.
Responsibilities
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into sustainable application solutions across SAP Sales, CRM and related platforms.
  • Configure and enhance SAP SD Sales processes, ensuring alignment with business needs and system standards.
  • Prepare functional and technical documentation, including specifications for ABAP development when required.
  • Support incident, request and ticket management, ensuring effective root-cause analysis and timely resolution.
  • Act as a bridge between business users, IT teams and external service providers.
  • Support CRM governance activities, including demand clarification, prioritisation of tickets and assessment of solution options.
  • Coordinate external partners and monitor service quality, delivery performance and application support activities.
  • Participate in Change Approval Board processes and contribute to structured ITIL-based change management.
  • Support international implementation, rollout, upgrade and optimisation projects within the SAP Sales and CRM area.
  • Assist key users with approved process changes, system improvements and day-to-day application topics.

What you will need to succeed
  • Academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a similar area.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with SAP SD, preferably in consulting, application support or internal IT environments.
  • Solid knowledge of sales-related business processes, including pre-sales activities and sales operations.
  • Practical experience with SAP SD configuration, application support, incident management and requirement analysis.
  • Ability to transform business needs into clear, workable system solutions.
  • Experience or good understanding of CRM platforms and related governance processes.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics will be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management and application maintenance environments.
  • Ability to work with external suppliers, internal stakeholders and international teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset, communication skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Fluent English communication skills; German would be considered a plus.
  • Availability to travel occasionally, when required.
